The final birthdays to be celebrated in November will occur on Tuesday, November 22.  Our two girls are the surviving “babies” of our triplets and will celebrate another year of being some of our biggest – yet tiniest – blessings! You can read more about their Thanksgiving Day birth in my previous posts about their birth and NICU time. (Links posted below.)

Every year, I am reminded of so many ways God was present in their birth.  I am thankful for the choice of hospital my doctor called when a premature birth was imminent. I am thankful that one of the state’s best high risk obstetricians was scheduled to be on call that holiday weekend.  I am thankful that the neonatologist on call that holiday weekend was a mom herself and was very open to listening to the voice that spoke to her.  I am thankful that the staff of the NICU became family to us.

Even more, I am VERY thankful for our two precious daughters that bring us joy.  Both of them overcame many obstacles and defied the odds we were given for their future.  Through their days in the NICU and beyond, we were blessed to learn so much.  We were blessed to be part of prayer lists in so many churches.  We were blessed to see God’s hands working over and over. We are continually blessed by the wonderful young women they both have become.

I wish the happiest of birthdays to our special little “turkeys!”

“The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.” Zephaniah 3:17

“But he said, ‘What is impossible with man is possible with God.'” Luke 18:27
